How Perfecto Was Rated

In this report, Forrester picked 15 vendors in the space of continuous functional test automation and evaluated their abilities. The positions in the Wave were based on 26 evaluation criterion. Forrester evaluated the vendors on their omnichannel testing capabilities, customer references, and design, UI, and API functional test automation. Vendor evaluations were also broken into three main categories.

Testing Recommendations

Forrester also offered recommendations for teams seeking to achieve a high degree of automation. Forrester recommends teams look for providers that:

• Utilize key advancements in the test automation space to make functional and API test automation smarter and more autonomous.
• Embed testing into the software development life cycle to optimize the release time and identify quality issues faster. This includes functional, performance, service virtualization, and API testing.
• Use a consolidated and unified testing suite.
